A Day at the Zoo!
New Shoes
Makes all the difference!! Wow! I don't know what I've been missing. A good friend of mine suggested that I get a really good pair of shoes since I am starting to work out on a regular basis. Today I went to the store she suggested and they set me all up. It seems that I have been wearing tennis shoes that were too tight for me! That probably explains why my toes were going numb after wearing them for only 5 minutes! Check these babies out!! Look, they have pink in them, too!!

Happy Birthday Andrew!!
Today our little Andrew turned 6!!! I still remember when he was born. We were in dental school living in a 2 bedroom apartment. We moved to Florida when he was just 3 months old. When he was 2 years old we moved to Oklahoma where we are now and it seems just like yesterday when he first arrived.
We decided that because he had a birthday party last year that this year he could only have a 2 hour playdate with one friend during the day. We had a family "party" tonight with just us, 2 large pizzas, some cake & ice cream, and some games of Wii.

I will NOT cut his hair!!
Okay, the big debate in our house right now is about cutting this precious little baby's hair. I think it is so sweet. Brayden is the only baby we've had with curly hair. Bryan, on the other hand, thinks it is time for a little boy haircut! If he had his way he would have done it 3 weeks ago. I am holding on to Brayden's babiness. He's such a sweet thing!

I've been very sick!
Just wanted to give a quick update on what's been going on around here. On Friday morning after I returned from the YMCA I started feeling a little yucky. I took my temp and it was just barely 99 degrees so I thought I would be fine. Within 2 hours my throat hurt, my body ached and my fever was almost 103 degrees. I could not even get out of my bed to take care of my boys. My Visiting Teacher (thanks Sarah!) came over to pick up Andrew for school and also get Brayden out of his crib and set him in his high chair for lunch. I don't know how I managed until Bryan got home but I made it. I thought that it was just the flu that everyone around here seems to have had. At 10:30 pm on Friday night Brayden started majorly throwing up and that lasted for 3 hours! I finally fell asleep at 2:30am and woke up at 3:30am in so much pain I could hardly stand it. I decided to drive myself to the ER and get tested for strep. I tested positive and got on the antibiotics by 5:00am on Saturday. I've been on the antibiotics for 32 hours now and I am still in extreme pain. My throat looks like something you would see in a horror film, just totally disgusting!!! I still can hardly swallow and I sound so funny when I talk. So funny, in fact, that Bryan thinks he has to repeat what I say dramatically and laugh. What a husband I have. He can find the humor in the weirest situations. I'm glad somebody can laugh at this!!
Anyway, didn't mean for this to be a downer post but I just feel terrible. Hopefully I will be feeling better by tomorrow. I'm not holding my breath but am hoping. I have so much to do around here!!
