I know what it is!!

Madie's rash is much worse today. We believe she has Fifth's Disease. She is not contagious anymore so she will have to go back to school tomorrow looking like this. I talked to a skin doctor in my ward today and he told me that she should be fine to go back. This rash could last up to 14 days!! Poor little thing. She feels fine, she just looks really RED!

Here are some pics I took of Brayden last week when he tried to walk..

My sick Madie!!

Last night Madie had a really pink cheek that was warm. It looked like she put a ton of blush on it so we just left it alone. This morning she woke up and had TWO really pink cheeks and a giant rash all over her body. We are pretty sure it's viral since she has not felt well since yesterday morning. Today I let her stay home with me and she pretty much acted normal so I'm probably going to send her to school in the morning if the rash is gone.

On another note......... can I tell you how sore I am today?? I started working out at the YMCA yesterday and went again today. I can totally feel it working!! I did upper body yesterday and lower body today with abs both days. I love feeling sore because I know that something is working but I do not like being so sore that I can't lift my arms. Bitter sweet!

Got done list!!

About a year ago I decided to start posting a "got done" list instead of a "to do" list. Well, I just wanted to share all that I have "got done" today and it is only 2pm! I still have 2 hours until the kids get home and I am just about to put the boys down for a nap.

*Got up, got dressed
*Fed the kids
*Got the boys dressed and ready for the day
*Got the girls off to school
*Went to the YMCA and worked out for an hour!!!
*Came home and have done 3 loads of dished in the dishwasher (I kind of took the weekend off! :) )
*Cleaned the playroom
*Picked up the dining room
*Picked up the living room
*Broke a video tape (which I'm not too happy about!)
*I've also washed 4 loads of laundry and have put away half of it!

Okay, I still have a lot more to do but, WOW, I feel like I've done a lot!! I just got a new membership to the YMCA this morning so hopefully getting up early to work out will help me get more done during the day while taking off those 20 extra baby pounds.

Here are some pics for the day. ENJOY!

Torture Thommy Day!

Okay, really, we are not "torturing" Thomas but it really felt like it by his reaction. He just does not like getting his hair cut. He got some hair on his tongue so he just kept sticking it out the whole time while screaming at the top of his lungs.

Happy Sunday!

Today we drove for an hour to meet in a highschool for our Stake Conference. We had Elder Webb there with us, a member of the Seventy. It was a very uplifting meeting and we feel very blessed to hear the speakers today. I took a few notes and wrote down some things in my journal that I need to work on. One of them is less time on the computer, but blogs don't count! I'm going to try to get up earlier in them morning and get some things done before the kids get up and then go to bed a little bit earlier.

For Valentine's Day we got a new bed for our master bedroom. It is very comfy.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We have many traditions in our house and one of my favorites is celebrating Valentine's Day. The children get goodies from the Red Baron, who they know is me, and we have a "pink" breakfast. This morning we had strawberries, strawberry milk, pink cherrios, donuts with pink sprinkles, bagels & pink creamcheese. It was a fun morning.

I hope you all have a day filled with love.

President Gordon B. Hinckley

I got this video off my fried Eliza's blog. I thought it was very appropriate. My favorite picture is where he is at his sweet wife's funeral. He was such a wonderful man and prophet and I know he is busy doing the Lord's work on the other side.

Some pics for the week......

This Saturday we attended the funeral of my dear friend, Nedra. After we were able to meet with my mom and have lunch at Sizzler and stop by Robert's Crafts. Here is me and my mommy. Can you tell I'd been crying all morning??? I didn't realize my face was so red until I saw this pic.

Last night I downloaded Sesame Street on my new Ipod (that I got for my birthday) and Thomas was fascinated with it!

Brayden has been sick since Sunday afternoon with a fever and just plain grumpy. This is how I found him this morning after he ate his breakfast. He is such a cutie pie!

Very sad day

Today has been a very sad day for me and my family. We lost a dear friend last night to cancer. When I joined the LDS church the Farrington family took me in as one of their own. My 2nd mom, Nedra, passed away last night. I am flying out to Utah this week for her funeral. I am happy for Nedra to be able to be in a better place now but I am sad for all the family she left behind. She was a strength to so many. I have never met anyone who was more selfless. She always thought of everyone else's needs before her own. I have learned many things from her but the biggest one is that we should love everyone no matter where they have come from.

Madie's assignment

I am so glad that I can work my hobby into my children's lives. Madie had a book report due tomorrow and it was on a "how to" book. Well, since we were out of eggs, peanut butter, baking cocoa, and a few other things (yes, I know, I need to go shopping), she asked if we could do one on a scrapbook page. Of course I jumped on that idea. I pulled out some of my scrapbook magazines and we found a simple scrapbook page to create and follow directions for. We custom made this with our own paper and picture but used the article as a guide. Madie was so happy to be able to use the Cricut!

Our Prophet has died

The 15th President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Gordon B. Hinckley, died at 7pm in his apartment in Salt Lake City, Utah. He will be missed much but is now with his sweetheart who passed away 3 1/2 years ago. President Hinckley was the only prophet I have known since I joined the church shortly after he was put in. I will miss his talks & inspired counsel.

I've been tagged!

Okay, I rarely do these but since my good friend Julie tagged me I will play.

A: The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B: Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C: At the end of the post, the player then tags 5 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Bryan and I were living in a small apartment in Orem while I worked at Eagle Hardware & Garden and he attended BYU. We were expecting Katelyn and getting ready to move to Kentucky for dental school.

5 things on my to do list today...
I don't really make to do lists but if I did this would have been on it....
1. Go to the grocery store
2. Prepare for my church calling
3. Finish getting ready for a big Cricut Swarm I am co-hosting
4. Play with my kids
5. Finish all the chores

Snacks I enjoy...
I love to eat! That is why I am 25 pounds over my regular weight right now. Wish I could just give up food but, hey, I am here to enjoy some things, right?

What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire...
I hope that never, ever happens. I don't ever want to be rich. I am happy with everything I have and grateful for the financial stresses. They keep me in place.

3 of my bad habits...
1. I do waste some time on the computer but I am very good at multitasking so I get a lot done, too.
2. I nag my husband a lot and nag my children, too.
3. I dabble in a bit of everything. That is a bad habbit because then I get stressed and wish I could simplify my life.

5 places I have lived... well I'll just do since we've been married.
1. Citrus Heights, CA
2. Orem, UT
3. Louisville, KY
4. Gainesville, FL
5. Edmond, OK

5 jobs I have had...
1. Pooper scooper. Yep, my first job was at a catery. I made $4 a day for working from 2:30-7:30 every day. I wish I would have known about child labor laws back then. I was twelve but having $20 a week was nice for me.
2. KFC
3. Purchasing Agent at Eagle Hardware & Garden (Lowe's)
4. Godfather's Pizza
5. Stay at home mom
(I have had over 20-25 jobs in my lifetime. Most of them I had in HS and right after.)

Things people don't know about me...
I love to read. I spend at least 1 hour every night reading. I cannot fall asleep unless I've read something, anything.

Okay, I'm tagging my SIL Sheree, my SIL Linnea, my friend Eliza, & my friend Wendi.

Craig's Visit

We were so happy to have Craig come visit us for a long weekend!! The kids couldn't get enough of him. I also had a blast talking to him and making him laugh. On Friday night we took him to our favorite local restaurant, Pepe's. Then on Saturday morning we took him bowling. Saturday night Bryan & I took him to Johnny Corrinos for some yummy Italian food. Sunday after church we just hung out and had lots of time to chat with him. Monday morning the kids and I took him to the airport. Boo hooo!! We wish he could have stayed longer but we also know that he missed his family. Here are some of the fun pics I took.

Uh Oh!

Well, we just learned that we still have to watch Thomas when he is alone with Brayden. We had put Thomas in his room and Brayden in his crib in the other room so we could have a peaceful family scripture study and family prayer. We could hear Brayden crying different and this is what we found....

Apparently Thomas had taken all the bedding off the girls' beds and everything that was on the floor and stuffed it around Brayden. We are just thankful that he didn't put it on top of him and then get in, too. This happened two times in one night. We just don't leave Thomas alone anywhere near the baby. We were very lucky this night.

October 2007 Highlights

I just got back my pics for October 2007 and realized that I didn't share any of them on my family blog. We had a very busy month with over 200 pictures alone!!

In the middle of the month we were able to take Bryan's staff & their families to the Orr Family Farm in OKC.

Madelyn performed in the 2nd grade play called Geology Rocks with her class. She was a scientist. Very fun play!

Here is us at our Ward party.

1st Day of Primary

Thomas started Primary yesterday and was the youngest one in his class. In our church the children go to Nursery from the time they are 18 months and then if they turn 3 before the 1st of the year they move up to Primary with all the other children up to 12 years old. Thomas was so happy to be in the big kid class with his brother and sisters. I can't believe I have 4 children in Primary!! Here is a pic of our happy boy.

Merry Christmas!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Our day was very relaxing and great. All the kids are so happy with their gifts and very grateful, to our surprise. Here are some pics I took throughout the morning. Check out my other blog at www.thepinkstamper.blogspot.com to see the gift Katelyn made for me.
